Length: 2 years (extension option)
Language: English (Fluent) and French (Intermediate)
Location: Paris or Toulouse

Leads and coordinates multi-disciplinary efforts by conducting software system safety assessments, verification testing, and other system evaluations. Supports system requirements identification, development, documentation, traceability, and evaluation. Provides Army systems architecture support by evaluating design, development, production and operations. Prepares and writes formal Systems Safety Hazard Analysis Reports, Assessment and Evaluation Reports, and System/Software policies and procedures. Understands the full Software Development Lifecyle.

Performs software safety-critical and mission-critical systems analysis throughout the life cycle from initial requirements through design, implementation, testing, delivery, and support. Utilizes excellent written and oral communication skills to maintain successful daily interaction with customer and teammates. Exercises ability to handle significant responsibility, and attention to detail.

Required:
BS in technical or scientific field
Minimum 5 years related experience
Experience with software development processes for Flight-Critical and Safety-Critical Software
Familiarity with MIL-STD-882 and/or similar safety standards
Some travel
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance

Desired:
MS in technical or scientific field
Familiarity with civil and military airworthiness qualification and Software Safety requirements, such as: DO-178, JSSSEH, DO-278, DO-254, SAE ARP 4754, and SAE ARP 4761
Familiarity with software development/lifecycle IEEE 12207, MIL-STD-498
Experience with Model Based Software Development, familiarity with MATLAB and Simulink, Rhapsody, DOORS, SCADE, etc
Familiarity with software development and evaluation tools
