Hope you are well.
I am currently looking for suitable candidate for a role “PC Backup MAC & Windows Support” for our client .
Job Location:- Marseilles, France
Job Role:- Contract

Day Rate: EUR/Day

Main Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain client’s PC backup, archival and recovery environment based on endpoint data protection tools (Ex: Connected backup, Druva, Commvault edge etc) and Veritas
Do performance tuning on the server and clients to optimize Backup capabilities
Evaluate additional tools to enhance features within the Backup infrastructure
Conduct evaluation of the environment using the Backup Management and Monitoring Tools for compatibility, feasibility and performance utilization parameters.
Remain current in the knowledge and use of all applicable data storage and backup technologies and management products.
Provide resolution for warnings, alerts, events or any other storage associated issues adhering to all the applicable Service Level Time lines and other parameters.
Recommend and Initiate Performance improvement or other necessary corrective changes and activities processes under the control of Change Management Processes of the Client’s IT Service Environment
Liaise with appropriate teams for effective Incident Management and Problem Management.
Ability to provide clear and concise documentation.
Analyse and resolve escalated problems. Act as a mentor for the rest of the support staff in aligning their technology and non-technology skills to best suit environment being supported.
Understand general disaster recovery and business continuity practices.
Perform regular health checks and performance audits in order to proactively isolate and resolve potential issues
Provide recommendations to improve the backup/recovery infrastructure, and address/lead critical issues and root cause analysis
Providing SME advice to other team members across different service lines
Working with the Service Architect - identify, assess and plan the level and nature of expertise and resources required to deliver cost effective maintenance and support to infrastructure and application developments, enhancement and changes
Providing emergency intervention in ITIL lifecycle processes Incident and Problem management to provide 2nd / 3rd level support in response to Major Incidents.
Motivating and encouraging external teams both onshore and offshore to ensure delivery of the required standards of excellence in service and performance and support the continuing personal and professional development of all team members.
