Financial-Data Migration Consultant
Looking for Senior Data Migration Consultant with a strong finance background and knowledge.
Summary:
• Very strong data migration expertise from legacy system to the new system after doing necessary analysis, cleaning and correction.
• In-depth understanding of finance from the business perspective and the data used in those with an understanding of financial data types from Legacy applications (legacy systems are inhouse financial applications, JDE and other ERP and/or custom systems)
• Strong finance knowledge required will be in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset Accounting and GL process.
• Experience in handling data preparation, validation to a detailed or account level and migration
• Knowledge of Procurement application data will be added advantage.
• Required to Understand, accessing legacy systems data, validate and correct with the help of stakeholders.
• Should have the sound technical knowledge to understand Extract, Transform & Load (ERP) to pull data, define format with the assistance of IT experts and prepare for the Target format/environment.
• Should be able to work closely with Master Data, Subject Matter Experts and Business teams and stakeholders on various validation of data items.
• Ability to work independently but as part of a larger migration team at a global level
• Gap Analysis and documentation
• Exception handling and document them with reasons
• Performing other project-related tasks like process maps,
Position Specifications:
• Minimum of 5-6 years of accounting and finance
• Minimum of 5 -6 years data migration experience pulling data, analysing and validating data as well as loading data
Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of accounting and understanding of financial systems
• Knowledge of procurement systems a plus
• Previous experience on ERP systems
• Effective communication skills a must
• Effective project management or organization skills a must
Behavioural skills
• Flexibility to adapt to adverse situations and think clearly and logically for solutions
• Good team player filling a role in the overall programme
