My prestigious speciality insurer is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join us on a contract basis. As a key member of the Business Systems Analysis team, the BSA will deliver change and support for the Global Markets Insurance applications to ensure the continuing upgrade, enhancement, and improvement of systems within the organization.
Working with the Technology Services team based in London and in conjunction with other overseas, offices provide business systems analysis for my clients Global Markets Insurance business operations.

Key Accountabilities:
To maintain, support and configure my clients International Insurance's instances of its IRIS application, a Policy Admin System provided by DXC. This includes defining, customising, performing systems testing and assisting user testing/training for all business Change Requests as well as for any other existing or new Group insurance application solutions
Supporting the creation of Business Requirements, creation of highly specified system requirements and turning them into workable solutions in line with the delivery of the enhancements to my clients Global Markets change portfolio.
Ensure that deadlines are met using good project practices and skills. As required, communicate project activities in a timely and efficient manner to the respective project team members and stakeholders.
Documentation of design and creation of knowledge base documentation and transfer as appropriate for project deliveries.
Assist with the delivery of my clients Insurance Data Warehouse including the provision of data from other applications and data sources.
Liaise with external software service providers regarding the implementation of new application systems, portals and business analysis tools using procedures set down by my client
Ensure that all application Change Requests are processed according to Technology Services' Change Request procedures.
Creation of reports and data extracts based on user requirement (creation of both Production reports, and ad-hoc reporting requests)
Liaison with external service providers and with all staff at all levels and departments within my client.

Skills & Abilities:
Experience in the IRIS application is highly desirable
Experience working in global teams
Experience of London Insurance Market technology initiatives, eg, TOM, PPL, SDC
Experience with SQL, iSeries, DB2, AWS/Azure
Experience of Bordereaux Management application solutions, eg, VIPR, an advantage.
Electronic data messaging, ie, ACORD standards, ACORD4ALL message processing and integration
A good understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or similar business analytics software/services
Relevant degree in Computer Science or equivalent
ITIL Certification
Professional Experience:
Solid experience working as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role in the insurance industry combined with a good understanding of underwriting, claims, finance and actuarial functions.
Strong communication skills, comfortable in dealing with end-users and senior stakeholders and ensuring business requirements are translated into effective solutions. Comfortably communicate with both technical and non-technical people at all levels.
