Datastage Software engineer
Remote role
Client is based in Austria, so please note if candidates are to offer their services for this position they must be willing to place their business in Austria including taxation and contribution to social security in Austria
Your tasks
- Your commitment to develop professional software for the finance
- industry in an international environment
- Modernize our application frameworks to match today's security
- requirements and technology needs
- Writing well designed, documented and testable code
- Unit testing of the developed software components
- Performance optimization and sizing analysis
- Database changes/optimization based on new data structure
- Update existing/write new ETL jobs
Your qualifications
- Excellent know-how of Datastage and ETL technologies
- Very good Datastage programming skills
- Solid Oracle DB skills
- 4-5 years professional experience in Datastage application development
- Knowledge of standard security concepts and implementations
- Good know-how of CI- and source code management- tools (bitbucket,
- github etc.)
- Agile mind-set and practical experience with Scrum/Kanban
- Experience in finance & banking area is a plus
- Design and documentation skills
Soft Skills
- Pro-active attitude and team orientation
- Collaboration with product owners and users
- Very good communication skills in a multi-cultural environment
- Very good command of English (mandatory)
- German is a plus
