Description
The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for managing all of the project planning and communication for all infrastructure projects, implementations and support teams. The IT Infrastructure PM is also responsible for delivering infrastructure projects as assigned (ie VLANs, putting Servers in Azure, security replacement, etc.) This person will need to have excellent skills in preparing project communications back to the business and IT. Would like this individual who has worked on Infrastructure rollouts such as: Network deployments, DC moves, IP phone rollouts, Server migrations, Large application deployments, and new technology implementations.
Position Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong experience in IT Project Management with progressively increasing roles with at least 5 years IT Infrastructure experience
- Managed multiple medium to large scale IT Infrastructure project implementations
- Demonstrated understanding of managed network appliances, Servers/virtual machines, data storage units, Firewalls, operating systems, applications, monitoring tools, and security/IT controls
- Understanding of multiple project management methodologies (Waterfall SDLC, Agile, Scrum, etc.) - We have a hybrid Agile approach
- Background as an Engineer in Voice, Network, Application Development or Hosting prior to taking on a PM roll.
- Strong leadership and high sense of accountability
- The ability to work in a management capacity and a deep level of understanding of technical infrastructure including Hosting Services, WAN, LAN, Citrix, File Sharing
- Strong administration, reporting, financial and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain ITs strategy and methodology while working with infrastructure SMEs on delivering short term and long-term solutions to Business requirements
- The ability to work in a fast paced, end-user focused environment while maintaining a deep level of understanding of the system architecture
- Experience leading cross-functional global teams in an enterprise environment
- Experience with cloud-hosted technologies and cloud hosting providers
- Familiarity of working with manufacturing, supply chain and customer facing business functions
