Account Manager/Business Development/Contract/9 months/Milton Keynes/£408

My Public Sector client is looking for an Account Manager, with a business development background, to join their logistics team on an initial 9-month contract.
As the logistics team is based at their Milton Keynes site the successful candidate would be based here however, they are flexible for the right candidate to be based at their London office and travel between the two sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the qualification of existing opportunities, responding to qualified opportunities, pricing and proposals and contract agreement.

Essential Experience:
*At least 5 years of previous business development experience is essential
*Previous experience of working collaboratively across various departments, within a complex organisation, is essential
*Demonstrate understanding/experience of sales planning, the business cycle, relationship management and various finance functions/processes which support a business.
*Knowledge of Logistics market within Public Sector is desirable
*Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills.
*IT literate.
*Ability to organise and prioritise work to achieve deadlines.
*Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of relationship building at all levels
