Description

This role is responsible for improving the, performance, availability, and manageability of enterprise applications and services across their full life cycles. It is responsible for planning, improving, monitoring and controlling all enhancements to enterprise services (major ones are currently Unit4 Business World/Agresso, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Microsoft SharePoint Online) and for the evaluation, build, management and implementation of other new business software including business process optimisation and improvements. The team uses and provides expertise in various development tools including Power BI, Power Enterprise Apps, Power Automate, Forms, Flow, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, C# .Net, SQL in Azure, Azure PowerShell script, React, SPFX (.Net Core), Nintex and Azure Functions.

The post holder will manage the 2nd line teams for Enterprise Services and Systems Development. The teams provide end to end support and development for all Enterprise systems with the help of vendor support and working closely with the other teams in the Technology and Business Services department, including Service Desk, End-User Compute, Infrastructure and Project teams.

Essential skills/experience:
* Experience and knowledge of ERP systems including Unit 4 (Agresso), including an understanding of HR and Finance processes; and Microsoft 365 technologies including SharePoint Online and CRM, and managing the monitoring, administration, customisation and configuration of these environments.
* Experience of managing a development and testing function within a Microsoft environment ideally incorporating power platform tools, a good understanding of database technologies and software development life cycles.
* Exposure to Agile and/or traditional development methods and life cycles.
* Experience of managing upgrades and patches across enterprise applications and services.
* Strong organisation skills with the ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external customers to foster strong professional relationships.
* Proven ability in effective decision making and prioritisation of tasks/project related work, determining goals and priorities and resource management to achieve the set goals and using relevant project management methodologies.
* Excellent oral and written communications.
* An ITIL V3/4 Foundation Certificate or comparable experience.
