I am looking for multiple Snr DevOps Engineers on an initial 12 month Contract, OUTSIDE IR35 paying £/Day. These roles are FULLY REMOTE and will remain that way for the full duration of the contract
(You will need to be SC Clearable to be considered for this position but you don't have to be SC already)
We are building the Kubernetes-based platform on which Microservice-based integration apps will be deployed. The AWS/Azure infrastructure is provisioned and configured through Terraform and Ansible. We do not use or leverage managed Kubernetes offerings like EKS or AKS, so Kubernetes is deployed and managed with RKE/Rancher once the nodes are configured by Ansible. We have a strong infrastructure-as-code ethos and write a lot of automation in Python and Bash. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable and experienced building production-grade Kubernetes platforms in the cloud (AWS/Azure preferred) and have good experience with Linux, Bash, Python, Ansible, Prometheus and Elasticstack.
We cannot consider people that do not have commercial Kubernetes experience building clusters from scratch with Python/Bash/Pearl managed in Rancher/RKE.
Key Knowledge and Skills (Experience):
Essential
In-depth knowledge and production experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Production experience with a Logging tools like Elasticstack, Splunk, or Fluentd.
Production experience with a Monitoring service like Prometheus or AppDynamics.
Strong working knowledge of building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Expert use of Git is expected.
Strong Scripting skills in either Python or Perl.
RedHat Linux
Desirable
Experience of servicemesh with Istio, Consul or any other tool.
Experience with Rancher is highly-desirable.
Experience with Grafana or similar analystics visualisation tool.
Experience with Kafka, Logstash and building visualisation using Kibana.
Experience with Terraform, Ansible, GitLab and Artifactory.
