Description

La Fosse are currently partnered with a leading Consultancy who are looking to recruit a Technical Architect (Microsoft) into their team. Initial 6-month contract, inside IR35 and remote to start with but the client is based in York and there will be an expectation for some days up there once things are back too normal. But, there is currently no guidance on when that will be.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the source of architectural knowledge in Microsoft domains of expertise
  • Act as a Microsoft Subject Matter Expert
  • Work with customer stakeholders to understand or define requirements and the customer's strategic needs and critical success factors
  • Ensure customer requirements are clearly and accurately documented and considered
  • Effective communication of designs to the customer and support them during implementation
  • Produce high quality technical documentation - ordinarily for consumption by implementation teams and the customer
  • Maintain knowledge of modern industry practices, techniques, and technologies, apply them to their work, and help spread that knowledge to colleagues and customers

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong technical knowledge, experience, and ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Good presentation skills and ability to engage non-technical audiences effectively
  • Proficient team leadership skills, in particular to lead technical implementation teams effectively
  • Commercial awareness, and consideration of those factors when designing solutions
  • Technical authority, not only in chosen subject area but also on wider technical principles
  • Big architecture experience - ie able to think about multiple streams and how they tie together
