Description
SC Cleared ASP.NET Developer required for a 12 month contract. WFH at present, but must be commutable distance from Croydon once restrictions are lifted - rates up to £550 per day UMB
You must have active SC Clearance for this role.
Working inside of IR35 for a Public Sector organisation, you will be leading on the onboarding of an existing ASP.NET 2.0 Visual Basic application from an external supplier. The application is written in VB.NET, runs on an IIS server and connects to a SQLServer database
Your main day to day responsibilities will be:
- leading on support and development of the application.
- delivering secure, reliable and scalable software, and supporting your team with technical tasks when needed
- evaluating and advising on design choices and ensuring that software is high quality and balances technical and business considerations
- defining and documenting test cases for new systems and maintaining live systems to ensure ongoing performance
- helping prioritise and direct technical tasks across your team, to balance new and live services
Experience required:
- ASP.NET V2.0 and higher - This is an essential skill as the system is currently based on ASP.NET V2.0.
- Practical, significant and recent experience of migration of Windows applications from ASP.NET V2.0 to more recent versions of ASP.NET.
- Significant experience in Microsoft Webforms on MS IIS.
- Demonstrable experience of retrieving data from SQLServer.
- Experience of linking ASP.NET to Outlook to generate mail.
- Experience of Crystal Reports would be an advantage.
