Description
- Responsible for building and setting up new design & development tools and infrastructure
- Review and recommend initiatives to automate and improve development and release processes
- Responsible for understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
- Testing and examining code written by others and analysing results
- Create and manage build pipelines in Azure DevOps to deploy code
- Identifying technical problems and delivering software updates and fixes
- Working with developers to ensure that development follows established processes
- Where necessary, develop new ways of working to integrate development, and design ways of working based on DevOps and available marketplace utilities and tools
- Where necessary work with other IT and functional leads to identify dependencies, provide support, and maintain common goals, objectives, and working practices.
- Provide status reporting to the appropriate level of detail to the relevant stakeholders.
- Work on proof of concepts in new technologies to deliver changes that provide a tangible benefit to the organization
- Ensure that development standards, policies and procedures are adhered to
- Actively report areas for improvement to line manager
