Description

Genius Systems Analyst

The System Analyst role is responsible for designing system changes to Genius to meet the needs of the business through close collaboration with the Business analysts, Testers, Business stakeholders and the Development Team.

The focus of this role is to bolster the existing experienced analyst team in order to help deliver some of the key integration projects. This includes some complex migration projects that have very high visilbility and need to be delivered in 2021.

Responsibilities

The System Analyst contract role will have a dotted line in to the Genius Application Manager and overall Delivery Lead.

The key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Translate high-level, ambiguous business requirements into well-defined, testable system requirements and specifications to meet the business needs using analytical skills
  • Assist in the delivery of functional change through close collaboration with BAs, Application Managers, other System Analysts, Testers, Technical Architect, Technical Leads and Developers
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Genius
  • Assist in the analysis and resolution of defects identified during testing

Note that this role does not include any line management responsibilities.

Requirements

Essential

  • High-potential candidate with plenty of enthusiasm and ability to learn quickly
  • Demonstrable analytical skills
  • Passion for System Analysis
  • Strong communicator
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and within a high-performance team
  • 5+ years System Analyst experience
  • Hands-on Genius system analyst experience
  • Strong SQL skills

Desirable

  • Complex data migration experience
  • Insurance experience
