Software Engineer | Python | Pytest | Docker| AWS | MicroServices | Agile | £375 - £420PD l Outside IR35 (TBC)

Method Resourcing have partnered with an award winning entity who bring together a team of scientists, clinicians and engineers together to provide comprehensive and personalized healthcare to their customer base. With that in mind, our client are looking for someone to work on their AI Symptom Checker product which is arguably their most exciting area of the business.

As the Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and building a robust automation framework that will test against their API's, Services and Data using Python as your main programming language.

Other responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Be super hands on with test automation
  • Working collaboratively with other SDETs, Product Managers and the QA Leadership function to deliver and execute testing plans and strategies of the highest standards
  • Carry out exploratory testing to identify and uncover unusual issues
  • Advising on tests to use after bug fixes are made
  • Actively pairing with Developers to review code and discuss the codebase
  • Navigating an IDE and understanding complex system architecture

Prerequisites of the role include:

  • Strong hands on, commercial experience with Python Automation (Web, Mobile, API)
  • Having significant exposure to a QA function within a microservices environment
  • A good understanding of JavaScript or similar programming languages
  • A good understanding of continuous testing tools such as Jenkins
  • Exposure to Docker and AWS

Whilst strong technology skills are of course important for this role, it's super important that the Engineer joining this tribe has both a balance of compassion and tenacity and regularly seeks to improve whilst working with positivity and creativity across eveyr level.
