Description

Our client is seeking Business Analyst will be a part of the Data Warehouse Team in the Office of Information Technology and will be responsible for interfacing with the business unit to review requirements, lead JAD sessions, schedule meetings, prepare test plans, and create system requirement documents for use by system analyst to produce detail design documents for specific projects.

Required

  • Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related technical field
  • Experience in Microsoft Project/Sharepoint Workspace planning tool
  • Experience with various project life cycles and methodologies
  • Experience conducting Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions
  • Experience developing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts and supporting the business in conducting UAT at least 4 years exp.

Duties:

Creating and maintaining the strategic partnership between Business needs and Technology delivery in OIT Developing business requirements and related business rules based on needs of the Client Departments working closely with the business users and Applications Leads in the definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of these applications as it relates to OIT Identifying requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modelling, workflow analysis, and functional decomposition analysis. Soliciting requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures Participate in daily stand-up meetings with both OIT and Business Partners to facilitate the understanding, clarification, and implementation of requirements Meets with project team(s) regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines Provides single point of contact for assigned project

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related technical field AND Three Years of experience in the following:
  • Implementing business analysis techniques
  • Experience with various project life cycles and methodologies (eg, Waterfall, Spiral or Hybrid, Agile, Rational Unified Process (RUP), project management, etc.)
  • Experience executing project life cycle from end to end and involvement in all phases of project life cycle
  • Experience with Use Case Modeling [eg, Unified Modeling Language (UML), Specifications, Packages, Diagrams
  • Experience facilitating user requirements sessions
  • Experience conducting Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions
  • Experience developing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts and supporting the business in conducting UAT
  • Experience writing use cases and demonstrated ability in the use of any Business Project Management (BPM) tools
  • Experience documenting Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs) and Traceability Matrices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project/Sharepoint Workspace planning tool
  • Excellent communication and verbal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong decision making capabilities
