About the job

A global leader in digital transformation requires a Security Architect to join them on a 3-month rolling contract. This consultancy has clients in over 40 countries, and provides next-generation digital services. They have over three decades of experience in managing the systems and workings of global enterprises, steering their clients through the next steps of their journey! They do this through AI, ML and Agile Digital.

About the role

Ideally, you will have a good working understanding across all relevant domains of Information Security, including application security, access management and network security. You can articulate and advise IT project and support teams on InfoSec risks and threats, and advise on appropriate mitigation. Knowledge and experience of working in IT will be desirable: Cloud Computing, DevOps, IT Operations, Network Security Technologies, Client Computing Technologies, Application Architecture, Integration Platforms and Operating Systems.

In addition, the role will require working with multiple partners across different business units - in a complex environment with competing strategic objectives - at times conflicting with core security outcomes. This calls for strong interpersonal and communication skills.

What skills do you need?

  • In-depth knowledge of InfoSec management and operation, governance techniques and incident management in traditional IT and Cloud computing environments (AWS and Azure).
  • Can translate complex technical security concepts into business language and apply pragmatic consultative approach to find the right security solution for the business.
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders with different business imperatives and expectation at all levels within the company.
  • Knowledge of standards and practices, including PCI-DSS, GDPR, NIS, ISO27000, Smart Energy Code and UK Government Security Policy Framework.
  • Knowledge of legislation, including Official Secrets Act, Computer Misuse Act, and Freedom of Information Act.
  • Professional qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner/Certified Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Deployment.
