Linux Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Linux Engineer to join global organisation located in Nottingham. The role will be offered as an initial 6 moth contract.
This role is inside IR35 so please bear this in mind when applying.
Technical Skills:
- Red hat Enterprise Linux
- SUSE Enterprise Linux
- NetBackup
- HPE Servers & blade enclosures
- GPFS, ASM & SAN Storage types
- Multipathing & Disk based migration techniques
Experience:
- Experience working on service migrations
- Knowledge of ITIL and ticketing traffic software (ideally ServiceNow)
- Incident resolution and problem management to the server estate
- Estate management to a known, consistent standard
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Perform remediation on computer hardware, software, and firmware, or make changes to systems management software, to improve performance and eliminate problems and allow migrations to continue
- Patching and vulnerability Management
- Performance tuning and management
