Bloomberg/Refinitiv Market Data Support Engineer

This is a tremendous opportunity on-site at an investment bank who are going through a very busy period currently ! You will be one of the main points of contract for supporting the trading floor applications in this busy and exciting role.

The role will involve:

Act as the principal point of contact for the support, maintenance and enhancement of trading floor applications in all software development life cycle environments.

Ensuring incidents affecting trading floor applications are resolved at the earliest opportunity.

Providing an escalation point for IT colleagues performing 1st and 2nd line support functions.

Working with business colleagues to understand and troubleshoot issues.

Escalating technical issues to peer technology subject-matter-experts in the team.

Ensuring that required updates are applied on an as-required basis

Planning and managing the implementation of enhancements to trading floor applications,

Ensuring technical documentation is created, maintained, is to an appropriate

Ensuring tickets recorded in the organisation's fault reporting system are updated appropriately

To be considered for the role you will require the following:

Demonstrable experience of supporting market data product sets including Bloomberg and Refinitiv in trading floor environments.

Strong proficiency with the installation and customisation of market data products on both clients and Servers, including low level customisation via configuration files of registry entries.

Good Intermediate level (2nd line support level) of Redhat server operating system skills

Good Intermediate level (2st line support level) of Windows server operating system skills

Experience of Infrastructure tasks related to TREP, Deal Tracker Suite (DTAA, DTA, DTSTOF/DTF/DTFE/FIX), TRASA and application tasks related to Thomson Reuters: FXT, Eikon, MCS, Compliance, Global Relay

Experience of Infrastructure and application related tasks for Bloomberg: RFQ, BTCA, Compliance, Data Licence, Scheduled feed

Experience of application related tasks for FX dealing applications (ie. BARX, Autobahn, CitiVelocity, JP Morgan, Marquee Trader, 360T etc)

Understanding of Networking, Cabling, Firewall, Citrix and CCM

Good understanding of automated client build technologies, software packaging and software distribution.

Good understanding of virtualisation technologies.

Good understanding of the concept of Client Server and otherwise distributed

application delivery methodologies.

Good understanding of the technologies related to the delivery of Broker and Market Data services across the OSI reference model.
