Description
UNIX Systems administrator, with current/valid SC Clearance, required to manage the UNIX estate for International Organisation within the Defence sector. You will act as the technical focus for UNIX related requirements, maintaining documentation, monitoring incident queues, and adhering to SLA and KPI requirements. Perform fault diagnosis & patching activities & support delivery of an automated Infrastructure.
Essential Skills: This is a hands-on role and requires an individual with a broad range of UNIX skills and an appreciation of related Infrastructure including Networking and Storage. You will have a dedicated track record in a UNIX delivery or support role (RedHat and UNIX). Strong UNIX/Linux systems administration skills including configuration, troubleshooting and Scripting. Requires good communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to work with Service Management Tools and experience within an ITIL framework. You will have experience of Openshift and Containerisation such as Docker/Kurbenetes. Knowledge of Automation techniques such as Ansible, Gitlab, Ansible Tower.
Immediate interviews, start ASAP. Initially for 3 months, may extend. Current SC clearance is essential. This role will be based in Milton Keynes, but at present will be working remotely due to the current Covid-19 situation.
NB: This role has been deemed 'inside' of IR35. The rate quoted is the Limited Company rate, however, you would need to switch to an umbrella/PAYE set-up as of 2nd April.
