Site Network & Infrastructure Engineer

Poznan, Poland - Must be available to work onsite.

An excellent opportunity for a Site Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join a large international client in Poznan, Poland on a minimum 6 month contract with option to extend long term.

Your role will be to provide support to the Tech Mergers, Acquisitions and divestments team. You will deliver services ranging from on-site computer room surveys to providing oversight for various vendors working within the site computer rooms.

Working alongside a Project Manager from the central Tech team, you will be required to take a hands-on approach to manage the delivery of project tasks.

You are required to communicate across delivery teams to ensure that delivery is being achieved within acceptable quality, cost and schedule parameters and take proactive action to support project teams to achieve their goals. You will need to understand the activity of the project teams, identify and manage project risk items, and ensure good technical governance procedures are followed.

Specific Network Experience:

  • Installation, switching, routing, maintenance and configuration of Cisco networks
  • LAN segregation using VLANs and Firewalls
  • Wireless Networks
  • Hands on physical connectivity and configuration of network components including installation of additional modules in existing Switches
  • Structured cabling standards including fibre
  • Production of survey documentation (eg rack configs and connections)
  • Experience and knowledge of the following is desirable but not essential
  • Splitting fibre connections using Bi-directional SFPs
  • Physical installation of Servers and external storage components
  • Voice networks
