Together with our client we are looking for a migration expert to help with some larger migrations in KSA. There are three major migrations that our customer is looking to do.
The migration approach for the migration from T5 to M8 will me:
-Guest Domain to Guest Domain
-Run all pre checks Filesystems, Network Configuration, Explorer, etc
-Clone the source disks and map the cloned disks to the destination
-Create XML configuration file of the guest domain and create the destination from the XML file
-Configure the new MAC addresses
-Stop the source
-Bind and start the destination
Migration approach from old system T4 M9000:
-Guest domain/physical host to Branded zone
-Run all pre checks Filesystems, Network Configuration, Explorer, etc
-Create flar image and copy to NFS share created
-Configure the zone to be the same as the source disks, file systems and network
-Install the zone from the flar image
-Release the source
-Start the zone and run all post checks, Non Global zone to branded zone
- Run all pre checks Filesystems, Network Configuration, Explorer, etc
-Create flar image and copy to NFS share created
-Configure the zone to be the same as the source disks, file systems and network
-Install the zone from the flar image or the compressed
-Release the source
-Start the zone and run all post checks
Approach for migration M6 supercluster:
-Guest domain to guest domain there is an issue.
-Update the OS version to resolve an issue re. the number of cores assigned to the zones.
This is for an onsite position in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and it is due to start within the next 1-2 weeks. English language is fine.
