Data Analyst (Python, Tableau, Data Source/Sets/Bricks)

Data Analyst (Python, Tableau, Data Source/Sets, Bricks) required to initially work remotely for 6 months with offices based in London.

The project - Protecting content from theft and it will be looking at lots of data sources, the role will be quite a lot of self-starting ability - picking up from a lot of data sources.

Main relationship will be with one of the product owners and the development team (all in London).

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

This position performs moderate data management and analysis tasks within a specific functional area or data type.

Provides direct input to project plans as relates to assigned data related activities and objectives.

Performs problem solving requiring in-depth knowledge and experience of functional arear or data type.

Communicates extensively with both internal and/or external customers and management regarding a wide range of data-related topics.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Specialized business support through in-depth data analysis and research.

Independently design queries to assess data for research purposes.

Independently run complex data statistics.

Run data profiles.

Support business or other data engineering teams with data subject matter expertise.

Design, complete, and present new data evaluations to diverse audiences.

Create data documentation including mappings and quality thresholds.

Investigate, track, and report data issues.

Good level of intimacy within a specific data content area.

Conducts routine data review and verification and ensures corrections/clarifications are made in a timely manner.

Undertake and complete new data onboarding and/or production data management functions as assigned/required

Utilize various data workflow management and analysis tools.

Resolve and/or guide data sources in resolving moderate data issues within specific functional area or data type.

Assist with production of detailed information, requirements, and/or instruction to internal resources regarding, but not

limited to: data analysis, data correction, data questions, and new data projects

Produce moderate ad hoc data counts, stats, and examples as required.

Mentor less senior data engineers on methodologies and optimization techniques.

All other duties as assigned.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

GOOD EXPERIENCE WORKING A LOT OF DATA SOURCES

EXPERIENCE WITH MANIPULATION DATA TOOLS (PYTHON OR ANY OTHERS)

WORKING THROUGH PROBLEMS WITHOUT A LOT OF ASSISTANCE

ABLE TO BUILD DATABASES AND RESPOND TO Analysts

proficiency with development languages (such as SQL, UNIX, Linux, XML, ECL, HPCC, SALT)

proficiency with various data types and formats including, but not limited to: XML, flat files, delimited, etc.

Strong proficiency with data analysis tools and processes.

Excellent proofreading skills to see how data and facts can be linked together to create more meaningful conclusions.

Strong ability and desire to learn new processes, tools, and technologies.

Good problem solving and research skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Good oral and written communications skills.
