Python Developer
Our client, a global investment firm, require a talented Python Developer Developer to join them on a contract basis. You will join the global credit technology team and support the business teams across New York, Dublin, London and Asia. The role entails building and supporting trading, analytics and reporting systems; an opportunity to participate in all aspects of the application development life cycle, including requirements analysis, application development, and devising test cases, while working closely with traders, portfolio managers, analysts and users from a spectrum of business functions.
Requirements
- 5+ years Python development experience
- Understanding of programming design concepts, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience with modern development methodologies
- Strong troubleshooting and reasoning skills
- Strong cultural fit - Teamwork, proactive/self-starter, results oriented and integrity
Role and Responsibilities
- Work with business users (Traders, Portfolio Managers, Analysts, Finance/Compliance professionals, Operations, etc) and perform Requirements analysis, application design and implementation
- Develop systems that are larger multi-tier applications and frameworks to simpler reports
- Ensure high focus on testing in the form of building proper unit and regression tests
- Work with team-members to interface and integrate with other systems
- Leverage and help evolve existing frameworks and toolsets
- Align and add to the culture and overall vision/mission of the team
Additional Beneficial Skills/Knowledge
- Experience in one or more ofbank loans/leveraged loans, fixed-income products, CLOs, derivatives, ABS and CMBS products
- Experience in or readiness to learn building applications using the modern technology stack: RESTful, Cloud/AWS, Docker/Kubernets, Go-lang etc.
The role will start remotely, when we get through the current situation, the role will be based in central London.
