Description

Android developer needed for an initial 8-week contract for one of our clients based in London (remote for now)

We are currently seeking Android Developers who are passionate about writing modular, well-tested applications with a long lifespan. We value easy-to-maintain code, solid engineering practices, and sensible use of frameworks, patterns, and automation

Key Responsibilities/Duties
1 Interacting with business analysts, quality engineers and UX/UI designers
2 Validating requirements and system design
3 Supporting the Release and Incidents team to quickly find and fix any issues with the production Apps
4 Executing code reviews and mentoring junior members

Key skills required
1 Experience reading and writing to NFC Tags and transferring data between NFC enabled devices is a MUST
2 Experience in Functional Reactive Programming using RxJava, Kotlin or other FRP frameworks and dependency injection using Dagger2 or other DI framework
3 Comfortable working with both Kotlin and Java Android codebases
4 Android Studio, Gradle, JIRA, Confluence, Espresso, Junit, Mockito

Desirable/Beneficial skills
1 Should have experience transferring NDEF and non-NDEF data through NFC.

*The role has been deemed inside IR35*
