is currently recruiting for a home based contract Design Authority for a global telecoms carrier & mobile network service provider. This base station site construction design role will govern & manage key stakeholders in the Front End deployment design process, enabling concise instructions of site builds to design suppliers & vendor partners.
We are looking for someone who possesses experience in the rollout of mobile telecommunications networks, specialising in Site Survey, Design, Review, Drawing Approval, Build, Construction, Installation & Commissioning of base stations & mobile network services.
Ideally your experience will have been gained within a similar telecoms, carrier or mobile network service provider environment such as; EE, 3UK, H3G, Vodafone, O2, Telefonica, MBNL, Alcatel, Lucent, Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, Tellabs, NSN etc.
Summary:
Position: Designer, Network Design, Technical Design Authority, Design Engineer, Site Survey, Technical Drawings, LLD, HLD, TDA, SME
Purpose: Provide concise instructions for site builds to vendors & partners for the rollout of mobile WAN telecommunications networks, specialising in Site Survey, Design, Review, Drawing Approval, Build, Construction, Installation & Commissioning of base stations and mobile network services.

Location: Work from home. Offices available in Berkshire if preferred
Hours: Monday - Friday )
Duration: 12+ month temporary contract - inside IR35 on PAYE basis
Rate: circa £40 - £45 per hour, negotiable, dependent upon experience

Key Activity:
*Ownership of site design & build (passive & active elements)
*Issue accurate & relevant site designs for every project
*Manage remote MSV meetings to determine concise design instructions output
*Drive accuracy & simplification to designs ensuring cost benefit
*Ensure SLAs are met to deliver forecasted timeframes
*Problem solve & manage decision making amongst key stakeholders
*Support Radio, TX, Acquisition, Vendors & Supplier teams
*Drive innovation using 3D modelling tools
*Forecast & report on Front End delivery programme
*Management, governance & control
*Manage Capex & Opex budget targets
*Stakeholder engagement & relationship management
Candidate Profile:
Ideally the preferred candidates experience will have been gained within a similar telecoms, carrier or mobile network service provider environment such as; EE, 3UK, H3G, Vodafone, O2, Telefonica, MBNL, Alcatel, Lucent, Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, Tellabs, NSN etc. Your background & experience is likely to include as much of the following as possible:
*Technical design, network design, technical design authority, design engineer, site survey, technical drawings,
*Rollout of mobile WAN telecommunications networks
*Producing technical designs (HLD/LLD) & technical drawings & diagrams
*Proven people management & technical planning skills
*Able to influence change & articulate technical direction to all design stakeholders
*Budget/P&L/OPEX/financial, governance & commercial management experience
*Strong stakeholder management, planning & organisational skills
*Excellent documentation drafting competences
*Six Sigma, ITIL, ISO or Agile experience is highly advantage
