Description

Due to consistent growth of the business, an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer has become available.

The role will suit an analytical, driven Engineer with a strong background in volume precision manufacturing such as Aerospace, Automotive and Defence.

The role will include being responsible for Manufacturing Engineering during New Product Introduction (NPI) and serial production ensuring robust process selection, implementation and control. You will be assuming a lead role for Manufacturing Engineering managing stakeholder requirements across or within the ME sub-functions, as well as the deployment of a robust, repeatable and reliable manufacturing solution that meets all the requirements.

The Key Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:-

* Delivers the manufacturing process and tooling system that is capable of meeting all regulatory, internal and external requirements
* Determines the most effective and economical method of manufacturing whilst meeting all the requirements
* Compilation of process planning for the defined area
* Development of the manufacturing system through process and tools to deliver a conforming product
* As required assist and advice on the instruction of new products, and/or modifications to existing products and associated tooling
* Assist in the definition of manufacturing facilities and equipment requirements. Providing support for the introduction of new facilities and equipment
* Drive and participate in problem resolution, support problem definition, customer containment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions
* Assist and advise on the implementation of key projects and/or CI programs
* Develop the required control plans to confirm conformance and capability

Skills and Experience Required:-

* Good interpersonal team working skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
* Ability to manage and to coordinate internal/external customer requirements
* Achieving delivery to time cost and quality
* PC literate - MS Office programs
* Self-motivated, resourceful, strong minded and committed
* Innovative toward all aspects of the job
* Flexible and capable of working in a complex environment
* Good reporting and communication skills on project status and progress
* Capable of interfacing professionally with customers and suppliers
* Able to demonstrate the ability to work, and deliver, under own initiative
* Good Technical English language and net-working skills
* Able to travel as required
