Full stack Software Engineer
Contract | Outside IR35 | 12 Months | Bristol
Important - We have an agreement with the end client to support the local community so at this time we can only consider applicants from within a 50 - 60 mile radius of Bristol. We cannot consider applications outside this geography at this time I'm afraid.
Role
This role is for a position within an enterprise customer's Platform UI team, a small team of currently 2 engineers whose primary responsibility is the provision and management of Front End libraries that are used by all of this customers service teams within a Scala (Play framework) environment. Although small, this team has massive impact. Their code is front and centre of every online user interaction within the business.
It is important to note that the service platform is highly opinionated and understandably is not at the cutting edge of Front End technology use. Therefore this role would suit someone who is comfortable with applying their technical skills within constraints to achieve the best possible outcome.
This role is for a true full-stack developer that would be happy to focus primarily on Front End work for this contract. Knowledge of or a clear willingness to learn Scala Play framework is a must. If the candidate does not have Scala experience then they must have experience with another Back End language and be able to demonstrate strong empathy with Back End engineering as a function.
