A Data Analytics Manager is required by our Global IT supplier that specialise within the Educational sector. The Data Analytics Manager will be responsible for getting maximum value from their recent investment in 3rd party software/databases via analysis tools such as PowerBI, SQL and SPSS, to drive better and more informed sales and marketing activity.

This is a key role, and to be successful, the job holder must have a track-record of interrogating data sources to derive real business insight to inform better business outcomes. They will be articulate, commercially minded, well organised, with a proven ability to manage multiple activities at one time.

Specific responsibilities include:

1. Delivering dynamic marketplace insight from databases to inform existing business priorities and future business development - using the most appropriate data analysis tools such as PowerBI, SQL and SPSS

2. Identifying and implementing opportunities to further develop our data capability - working with the internal BI team and third-parties

3. Working closely with colleagues in India - and with third-parties- to manage our resources accordingly in delivering the best insight for the business

4. Presenting the key insight back to the business in easily distillable formats to aid business decision making

5. Effective collaborative working with fellow marketers to help them plan campaigns more effectivity and to help them undertake go-to-market activities that ensure we are always learning

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

. Relevant data analysis tools - including (but not exclusive to) PowerBI, SQL and SPSS.
. Data-led insight: demonstration of distilling complex data into meaningful insight that has led an organisation into taking corrective action - whether that was a market foresight, a competitor anticipation or a piece of customer insight
. Reporting and presentation: comfortable analysing complex datasets to derive real insight, and present that in a way that a range of audiences can understand and appreciate
. Collaboration and understanding: ability to work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders to understand their needs, and to develop strong networks with all, including managing third-party suppliers effectively
. Communication: professional, presentable, dependable and self-motivated. Excellent interpersonal and team working skills.
. Planning and organisation: a thorough understanding of marketing and project planning techniques. Ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously, accurately and according to priority
. B2B experience: whilst a background in the Education or Technology sectors is not a pre-requisite, a good understanding of B2B customers and operating in such an environment would be advantageous.
. Driven: being brave in making sound recommendations based on fact and experience, with a focus on tangible results-orientated outcomes
. Tenacious and self-motivated: someone who is curious, yet disciplined; who does not need to be told what to do but seeks to contribute; someone who is tenacious and looks for alternatives
