Description
My leading investment banking client are looking to bring on a Global IT Procurement Manager to act as a lead on wholesale IT software and services strategic deals and operate as a key influencer for the business.
- The spend managed by the will be circa $250 million
- This has no management responsibility but expected to be a leader within the team
- Number of supplier's = c100+
Candidates must have:
- Operated as a senior procurement/category manager within organisations with a truly global footprint.
- Deep category knowledge around software and IT services - must be able to leverage this knowledge to create and review robust and forward-looking category plans and sourcing plans.
- Ability to act as a lead and troubleshoot on the execution of large deals and provide strategic guidance to all business group functions. (HR, Finance, Legal etc.)
- Be a role model and demonstrate a positive attitude and inspire confidence when faced with uncertainty and change.
- Creation and maintenance of a pipeline of projects to achieve or exceed agreed savings target for category.
- Understand complex business problems, apply advanced analytical thinking/market knowledge and drive the most appropriate business outcome.
- Strategic lens and work with CIO, COO's of the business and get there buy in/gain their trust and underpin a sourcing strategy to support what they are trying to deliver.
- Bring a dynamic approach to procurement and have a strong passion for technology.
