Security Cleared User Researcher, up to £500 per day, outside IR35, 6 months +

Our client is a very successful international consultancy, who have a long history in engineering for the various environments,their approach delivers excellent performance for customers and shareholders worldwide.

My client builds and operates ground-breaking, high performance, cloud-based data infrastructure for some fantastic clients.

As a User Researcher, you will conduct user research activities within Agile development project teams for government clients. The User Researcher will work with users, subject matter experts, and product owners to understand the user needs for our services in a fast-paced environment.

You will be working in a growing and experienced team consisting of User Researchers, Interaction Designers, Data Engineers, DevOps engineers, DBAs, architects and other SMEs, in addition to scrum masters and project managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, plan, and conduct user research to support the design & development of services
  • Work with user researchers and service managers to develop and advocate appropriate research strategies
  • Understand user needs for a service, and to continually test and improve services
  • Facilitate evidence-based product and design decisions
  • Managing the usability and accessibility testing process
  • Deliver compelling insights to the product and design teams

Skills needed:

  • Have a bachelor's degree
  • User Research experience focused on digital and data services
  • Ability to speak fluently to business people, designers, engineers and other stakeholders
  • Qualitative research methods, including contextual and discovery research
  • Designing, executing and analysing quantitative surveys
  • Analyse research data and synthesise findings so that research is shareable and traceable
  • Usability and accessibility testing
  • Working as part of an Agile development team
  • User research, team analysis, design rationale and decision making based on user needs
