The Azure Data Engineer is expected to have the following essential skill set:

Good understanding of Cloud platforms (Azure)

Building metadata-driven pipelines (Azure data factory).

Good understanding of ELT Vs. ETL methodologies and ability to process data from various sources (CSV, API and SQL Server).

Datamodelling preferably in Kimball or Inmon methodology.

Have knowledge and implementation on PowerShell

Understanding the migration structure/architecture.

Data Analysis experience such as data mapping between various source systems and target systems and defining the data transformation rules.
