Scrum Master - SAFe 5.0/INSIDE IR35 - Surrey/Remote

Scrum Master required for our leading client based in Surrey. You are coming on board to deliver value to the business by demonstrating your ability to deliver in an Agile/Scrum framework. A suitable candidate will have experience working in a scaled agile environment (SAFe.)

This contract falls inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Facilitate Agile teams to deliver prioritised outcomes following agile methods and frameworks (eg Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • Help Product Owners maintain the Product Backlog and ensure that each Product Backlog item is clearly articulated according to Agile best practice.
  • Enable the Agile team (or individuals within the team as appropriate) to clarify iteration goals and to understand the actions required to achieve them within the iteration.
  • Coach Agile teams and individuals to become self-managing and cross-functional, and help them demonstrate their values.
  • Play a key role in communication both internal and external to the team.
  • Contribute towards and grow maturity outside of the immediate team via sharing insights and ideas within the Agile Centre of Excellence (ACE) and Communities of Practice.
  • Support the shift towards automated release planning as part of the DevOps initiatives within the business.

Key Skills of the Role:

  • In-depth Scrum, Kanban and DevOps experience and knowledge of the key concepts of TDD/BDD.
  • Experience working with distributed teams in multiple time-zones and where cultural differences need to be considered.
  • SAFe 5.0 experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience of delivering within an agile team (ie some development-test and/or architecture background).
  • Experience working across a portfolio of large scale projects, ideally in a global environment.
  • In-depth experience of Agile tooling and work management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Rally etc.
  • Certified Scrum Master: PSM I, PSM II, CSM, SSM.
