Programme Manager - eCommerce - Contract - Watford

Programme Manager required to deliver complex eCommerce solutions to leading brands. We require an experienced and capable individual with significant project management, programme management as well as experience managing large scale accounts.

You will be responsible for the management of a number of project managers to ensure project reporting is undertaken, collaborating on issue and risk management and escalating issues as required to the appropriate level.

Working in a fast paced and highly responsive environment the candidate must be an effective worker with excellent communication and decision-making skills. The role will require travel to Europe on a regular basis.

The techy bit .we need you to be really great at:

  • Proven track record in the successful delivery of an E-commerce migration/Re platform
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills and an ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
  • Accurate and detailed Programme level reporting
  • Experience in multi-vendor management
  • Experience of managing people and financial budgets (including programme budgeting, monitoring financials etc.) ideally in an eCommerce environment
  • Experience of overseeing 3rd parties.
  • Excellent risk management skills
  • Minimum of five years' experience working in an Agile environment
  • Proven track record of working with organisations moving from Waterfall to Agile delivery approaches
  • Working knowledge of Agile frameworks, Scrum and Kanban
  • Strong leadership skills with experience of managing other project managers.
  • Strong time management & organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Good commercial knowledge, experience of contract negotiations would be advantageous.
  • Maintaining a resource plan showing resource commitment across the projects and keeping track of potential end dates in association with functional lead personnel
  • Keeping track of resource requests and managing fulfilment of these requests internally or externally as appropriate
  • Experience of managing multiple projects with some exposure to eCommerce and the Retail industry
  • Software Application Development related Project management experience (min 5 years)
  • Exposure to medium to large scale fixed price project delivery
