Enterprise Container Platform Architect
I'm heading up a recruitment drive on behalf of a global IT consultancy that require an Enterprise Container Platform Architect to join their team on a major project that is based remotely
A genuine container platform guru, who has proven experience of leading and architecting large container hosting platforms at an enterprise level. This individual should have an industry experience of more than 15 years. Must have extensive and in-depth experience of Kubernetes, service mesh (Istio), Anthos, and cloud native offerings (EKS, AKS, ECS, Fargate etc.). What we don't want is the solution architect who has used containers for different projects. Ideally, this individual should be able to switch between Enterprise-level and be able to sell things to tech leadership, do convincing presentations and go down to the details of detailed kubernetes and service mesh. They will be a T shape in breadth in technology and depth in kubernetes. They should have worked for a large organization.
Responsibilities
1. Create an enterprise wide container hosting and service mesh strategy, architecture and framework.
2. Complete the discovery of existing estate of container implementations
3. Consolidate current container hosting solutions into a secure, scalable, resilient, operationally excellent and standard based solutions.
4. Set up operating model for Container Strategy.
5. Clearly define what will be in scope and what is out of scope for the consumer applications.
6. Define the compliant patterns with containers security tooling as well as a centrally managed container platform.
