UI Designer
Location: Remote
Contract: Initial 3 months
Rate £Competitive Per Day via Umbrella
Overview of Role
As the UI Designer you will be owning the development of system enhancements that my client are making to Prestige Automobile pensions platform.
You will be defining and adhering to a style guide and pattern library, as well as designing graphical elements and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools.
Working closely with Lead UX and Developers, you will create both functional and appealing features that address our clients' needs.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and interpret user research and project requirements into outcomes and solutions
- Communicate design ideas using appropriate methods and tools
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and work
- Build style guides, pattern libraries and reusable components to support efficiency in design and development
- Design graphical user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
- Create on brand original graphic designs (eg images, sketches, interactions that provide experience impact)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX and UI problems (eg user journeys, responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on stakeholder and user feedback
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
- Good experience of digital design and creative projects
- Knowledge of industry leading wireframe tools
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software like XD, Sketch, Figma
- Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Good time-management skills
