Senior Contract Manager
A world leading insurance company are looking for a Senior Contract Manager to be responsible for negotiating and managing the process for putting in place high value/high risk customer facing commercial contracts with partners/suppliers prior to schemes or suppliers going live, in line with strategic objectives and with minimal risk exposure. This will be an initial 3 month contract.
Responsibilities:
*Managing the process for putting in place high value/high risk customer facing commercial contracts in accordance with the Contract Approval and Monitoring Policy, to include:
*assisting the business in defining the key commercial principles of deals and managing the process of translating a 'deal in principle' into binding contracts which can be operationalised effectively
*undertaking comprehensive contract reviews identifying, raising and offering solutions to both contractual and commercial risk/issues
*ensuring wider business input into contracts at appropriate points and at the appropriate level
*working closely with the Legal Team to ensure contracts are prioritised and delivered to required timescales wherever possible
*leading contractual negotiations
*undertaking some drafting of the contract, in particular schedules where appropriate
*appropriate escalation of risks during the negotiation and at approval stage
*effective management of contract approval and execution processes
Experience required:
*Proven contract negotiation experience/basic contract law knowledge
*Highly effective communication and influencing skills
*Commercial acumen
*Ability to work effectively under pressure
*Excellent problem analysis/solving and decision making skills
*Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills
*Strong planning and project/programme management skills
*Ability to prioritise effectively
*Attention to detail
