UX - UX Design - UI - UI Prototypes - Digital - Publishing - Wireframes - User Experience

Our client, a leading global publishing company is currently seeking a UX Designer, based in London (working remotely from home until further notice) to be responsible for the UX design within cross-functional product development teams.

You will ensure that product user interfaces reflect the companies learning and experience design principles. You will design product interfaces to be engaging and effective, making proposals on UX design decisions for the consideration of other stakeholders and working collaboratively with other Experience Design team members. In particular, you will work closely in paired practice with UI Designers, implementing Information Architecture and wireframe artefacts, across multiple device form factors.

Main Responsibilities

  • Works with and between research, UI and development teams in an evidence-based and Agile design process, generating artefacts to meet the scope of product requirements, ensuring that the resulting user experience properly integrates with desired learning and experience design principles.
  • Provides support, with moderate guidance, on how to design products to be more engaging and effective for the user, makes proposals on UX design decisions for the consideration of other stakeholders.

Essential Skills

  • Extensive and demonstrable experience of User Experience design
  • Wireframing
  • User Flow Skills
  • Interpreting UX research into design artefacts
  • Working knowledge of Figma, Miro and prototyping and user flow tools
  • Good working knowledge of microinteraction/animation tools
  • Good knowledge of topics related to HCI, IA, IxD
  • Good knowledge of responsive and native technical considerations
  • Good knowledge of established design languages and experience in adapting and extending them
  • High level of creativity, design thinking methodology
  • Specialised higher education qualifications in appropriate field
