4Com are looking for an experienced Programme/Product Manager to act as caretaker for several high-profile product deliveries we currently have in-flight. This is a 6-month contract position to cover delivery whilst we recruit our new permanent Software Development Director.
You will draw on your experience in coordination and control of bespoke development Project/Programme Management to ensure the teams continue to deliver to their commitments.
You will also be responsible for the day to day line management of delivery teams, through technical leads (Development and Test) and Product Owners (4).
Experience required and responsibilities
- People management of technical delivery teams (from a delivery perspective).
- Exposure to delivery of bespoke software-oriented projects.
- Experience of managing multiple workstreams in parallel across different software development practices and methodologies.
- A great communicator, able to distil conversations to the salient points and drive out the decisions required to meet delivery objectives in a timely manner.
- Manage supply and demand across the various resource pools.
- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of progress, risks and issues is undertaken to agreed frequency and quality.
- Ensuring all Stakeholders are engaged and aware of the impact on their respective areas.
- Comfortable presenting to C suite Steering Boards.
- Service Transition is correctly engaged, planned and executed.
- Identifying areas of improvement that will benefit the Project, and embedding these into the teams.
