Senior Big Data Developer - Cloudera (Banking)
Our client, a global supplier for IT services, requires an experienced Senior Big Data Developer - Cloudera (Banking) to join their team in their clients' office in London. You can work remotely until Covid abates.
This is 12 months temporary contract, to start on 15th March.
The right candidate should have experience working as a Designer and Developer in Hadoop/Big Data technology stack and must have exposure on CDH (Cloudera) stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, Develop and deploy key strategic solutions and architecture components as defined through the overall architecture
- Reverse engineering, documenting & extending the current solutions on Big Data with focus on Cloudera stack
- Discuss complex financial products directly with the business
- Work as a member of an Agile feature team
Key Skills/Knowledge:
- Experience working as a Designer and Developer in Hadoop/Big Data technology stack, specifically with exposure on CDH (Cloudera) stack is a must
- Must have strong experience in Java, Spark, Scala and Kafka
- Experience in developing solutions using detailed Parquet on HDFS
- 8+ years of IT experience, with a minimum of 4-5 years in Big Data related technology stack
- Knowledge of RDBMS like Oracle, Hive, Impala, etc. & NoSQL databases like Hbase, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc is preferable
- Experience in RDBMS like Oracle, Hive, Impala, etc. & NoSQL databases like Hbase, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc is desirable
- Good inter-personal skills and soft skills
- Self starter
- Excellent communication skills, both written as well as spoken
- Client facing skills
