Java 8 Developer (Multithreading, Microservices, AWS)
6-month-rolling contract
up to £500 per day
London (currently home-based)
Java Back End Developers required by a leading End Client to join their team of cross-functional Agile professionals in London on a contract basis and work on a multi-million £ digital transformation initiative.
The successful Java Developer will have extensive Back End Java experience building multithreaded applications and working in Agile environments following TDD and BDD.
The Java Back End Developer will require the following technical skills & experience:
- Java 8 (or above)
- Multithreading apps experience
- Knowledge of core Java multi-threading concepts
- Microservices
- REST API design
- JAX-RS (Java REST interface)
- JUnit, Wiremock and Mockito (a quick transition could be made from TestNG and other mocking frameworks such as JMockit or Easymock)
Knowledge of the following would significantly help:
- AWS S3
- SQS
- SNS
- Lambda
- Terraform
- BPM - Activiti
- Postgres DB and SQL
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Maven
- Jenkins
To be considered for this role you MUST be eligible to get SC Clearance meaning you will need a UK 5 year-footprint and no longer than 30 days outside the UK within the last 5 years.
