Description

We are IT Recruitment Specialists partnered with a prestigious Global Consultancy who require a DevOps Engineer for one of their Public Sector Clients based in Southend. This role will be remote currently.

Platform Engineer - DevOps
Southend - WFH currently
Initial duration 6 months
SC cleared or SC eligible
IR35 - N/A currently, post April 5th the role will be deemed in scope of IR35

Role and Task description -
This role requires a professional who is well experienced and knowledgeable in cloud technology especially AWS. They must be innovative, competent and comfortable in challenging status co.
The suitable candidate must be highly proficient in the use of:

  • Jenkins
  • Varnish
  • Artifactory
  • Swarm
  • Docker
  • Harshicorp vault
  • Terraform (0.11 and 0.12)
  • AWS (Most of AWS including ECS,EKS)
  • Python (2 and 3)
  • Groovy (for jenkinsfiles)
  • Jenkins scripted and declarative pipelines
  • Ansible (2.2 and 2.8)
  • Ansible Vault
  • Linux tools

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Above are mandatory (Please note the list of technologies will increase based on client needs)
  • Must have Programming experience

Desirable Technical Skills
Client relational skill, Object Oriented programming, DDD, TDD, EDA

Mandatory Business Skills
Communication; Expectation setting, client relations.

Desirable Business Skills

  • Knowledge of HMRC business
  • Drive the delivery of user/training and customer communications on Release Management.
  • Assist with the implementation planning of releases, including the ability to deploy and work extended hours during live implementation.
