Description
Our Public Sector and award winning based client is looking to recruit a DevOps/QA Engineer on a 6 month initial contract.
Your core role will be to manage and deliver applications on a AWS infrastructure and will support with the following:
- Write and execute functional and non-functional tests at each level, and debug and refactor the test code
- Assist in development of build, monitoring and CI infrastructure.
- Measure and report on test activity, manage defects and author software defined tests
- Work with Product Owner to produce detailed acceptance criteria.
- Design test environment set-ups and configuration
- Pair with release, development operations and software developers to write automation tests across different levels and review release scripts across environments
- Identify new test techniques and tools
- Educate and support the rest of the delivery team with testing, educate internal and external stakeholders and work with delivery teams to define quality'
- use software development skills applied within a testing context
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
- Writing scripts for automation testing
- Manual and automated testing
- Experience working with tools like Jest, Cucumber, Selenium, JUnit etc
- Automating User Interfaces and APIs
- Developing in a cloud environment including developing CI pipelines using AWS Cloudformation or other IaC
- Understanding of DevOps requirements to facilitate operational support of services.
Preference will also be given to candidates who hold current SC Security Clearance however those eligible to apply will be consider. If you do not hold current SC Clearance you will need to undergo a BPSS Check before starting which will take 2-4 weeks.
