Service Design/Service Architect

+ 6 Month initial contract

+ Remote working/home base role

+ £450 to £525 per day

+ EIS - Enterprise Integration

+ Identify the procedures and processes required to operate EIS

+ Our client is looking to deploy an Enterprise Integration Service (EIS) to support its integration needs. The EIS will provide services for the exchange of information between applications, with partners network and others. EIS will support operational, test, simulator and preproduction environments. EIS uses enterprise COTS ESB and API management products.

+ Currently the EIS technology is designed and a version is deployed in a test environment of the new platform. We are seeking an experienced enterprise integration service practitioner to guide the development of the EIS services and processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Service Design/Service Architect for EIS you will be an integral part of the team responsible for the standing up of the EIS Service Group that will manage EIS. Service Groups are a new organisational structure based on ideas from the ITIL framework.

You will be working with both the Service Designer and the Service Delivery Manager and their team. The main responsibility of this role is to identify the procedures and processes required to operate EIS, gaining an understanding of the current documentation set and processes, and highlighting missing artefacts. It is expected that this is likely to follow-on into assisting in their production.

An initial Onboarding Service is already running to bring the first set of users onto EIS. A key early task will be to review its operation and provide direction for its future development. All service aspects of EIS are in scope of this role, from first-line support of the operational service to continual service improvement.

Essential:

+ Extensive Service Design/Service Architecture experience

+ Extensive and proven experience in the delivery of enterprise integration;

+ Ten years' proven experience of design and implementing enterprise integration solutions

+ Experience of working with the ITIL framework

+ Self-motivated;

Desirable:

+ TIBCO & Axway API Gateway

+ Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar;

+ Experience of working with the ITIL framework.
