Are you an Information Security specialist with strong knowledge and experience of designing and implementing an Information Security Management System, within the financial services sector? If so, then we want to hear from you!

Our client, a global financial services firm, based in Edinburgh, is looking for a Senior Information Security Manager to join the team on an initial 18-month fixed term contract and will initially be set up remotely.

The role will be supporting the implementation of the SailPoint Identity tools so experience with this would be beneficial.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Established experience of working in a security management role.
  • Experience of operating at senior levels in a financial services organisation as an information security leader.
  • Excellent knowledge and thorough understanding of Financial Services regulatory/compliance requirements in information security and data protection.
  • Risk assessment/risk management skills.
  • Security, including information security management, physical security, application security, network security and security incident management.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of designing and implementing an Information Security Management System.
  • Understanding of how to apply Information Security best practice to large scale enterprise environments.
  • Excellent technical knowledge the security impact on established and up and coming technologies.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • CISSP, CISM

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support the Global strategy through input to and ownership of tasks within the information security roadmap for the firm.
  • Plays a key role in the successful delivery of a global Information Security Function: Understand and input towards the mapping of the Security Strategy & Roadmap & Standards to protect firms' information assets.
  • Provides technical support and guidance to project teams and other business areas in relation to Information Security.
  • Validate delivered solutions against approved security architecture.
  • Support the development and delivery of the Information Security function and its associated activities within the firm.
  • Input as an SME to firms' security policies, ensuring they are fit for purpose and maintained in line with best practice and global security requirements.
