Description
Our Edinburgh based banking client are currently looking for a Solution Designer with KAFKA experience to join their team on an initial 6 month contract.
Sector Experience
- Previous experience of Data & Analytics or Data science teams (important)
- Previous experience of banking
Requirements
- Work with architectural communities to develop new and refine existing patterns
- Interrogate work reception requests and own estimating in conjunction with platform colleagues
- Generate, own and contribute to blueprint and High Level Solution Designs and Data Detailed Designs
- Partner with infrastructure community to input on their Infrastructure Detailed Design
- Represent blueprints and Designs at bank-wide design groups
- Partner with platform colleagues to produce low-level platform designs
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise to build and test communities from approved designs

Platform/Technologies
- Previous workload on Streaming technologies preferred (KAFKA, IBM infosphere (CDC Mainframe offload) and Streamsets (Data collection and transformation)
- Experience in work within PaaS environments or Federated delivery models
Experience of migration from on-premise to cloud hosted projects and programmes.
