Major Responsibilities:Overseeing of subcontracted IT Infrastructure services such as Data Center Facilities, Data Center Services (Storage, Backup, Monitoring, Database, Virtualization, Wintel, Middleware), Printing Services, On Site Technical Support among others.
Requests and change management in coordination of the different involved groups (external providers, Daimler central/regional support teams, customers, application owners).
3rd level support for incidents and escalations.
Project Management in different local initiatives (i. e. Print services, Datacenter migration).
Support of the local IT infrastructure including more than 400 servers, 700 databases and around 3.000 users in 20 different locations. Direct support to central projects such as massive migration of +250 application servers to the SDCE (Sales Data Center Europe), Windows OS rollout…
Implantation and follow-up of needed changes to accomplish the company security requirements, such as policies for administrative access to devices/servers (Radius, Password Vault), vulnerability management (Qualys), security findings resolution, security incident management…
Local and Regional demand management collecting the requirements and needs from the business and translating them into infrastructure elements.

Responsibilities
Ensure that the IT infrastructure elements, physical and virtual, are deployed and maintained according the Security policies and guidelines published centrally by Daimler (including vulnerability management, patch management, AV protection, hardening…).
- Ensure that the products installed in the IT Infrastructure follow Daimler standards.
- Provide support to the local business areas in case of security audits where the IT infrastructure is involved.
- Provide support to the local business areas to manage IT Infrastructure related requests, incidents and changes for their applications.
- Support the Logistic Center (ELC) in their specific Infrastructure needs, with emphasis in the purchase, configuration and maintenance of specialized warehouse hardware (Handhelds, static and wireless label printers, barcode scanners, tablets, forklift mounted hardware, matrix printers) and their related central applications (EWM, SPICS, VDS2).
- Collect the Infrastructure demands from the business areas, adjust them to follow the standards and guidelines, and process them to make the corresponding request to the service provider (local or regional). Some of the demands also involve the request of commercial offers to different providers, then compare and validate them.
- Assist to follow-up meetings with the different local service providers to have an overview of the service status (i.e. printing services, onsite technician, datacenter services), discuss relevant incidents or requests, possible improvements…
- Contact central support teams from Central to work on requests, incidents or changes of applications or technologies centrally supported (i.e. licenses requests, standard OS incidents, DNS/DHCP changes, endpoint security software…)
- Keep the control of the local licenses consumed of products with global contract agreements (Microsoft, IBM, Oracle) using the automated or manual inventory tools available to be able to accurately fulfill the annual Software Survey for the different local entities.
Salary: 320.00€ - 375.00€ per day
