Level 3 Support Engineer
Forest Grove

Forest Grove is a leading supplier of analytics and decision support technology (refer www.forestgt.com.au) Our services include consulting services, support and assisting organisations with deployment of market-leading analytics technologies. Our innovative market offerings have resulted in a period of national growth and we are looking for a Level 3 Support Engineer to join our Perth-based team.

This is a hands-on position and the ideal person is a technical generalist with a broad engineering skillset and a proven ability to learn, innovate and show initiative.

You will have experience with building, monitoring and managing AWS and Azure environments. You will have solid working knowledge of data pipeline technologies including databases (in-house and cloud), automation tools (e.g. script, Alteryx, KNIME) and interaction layers (e.g. bespoke built portals, Tableau, Power BI). Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems plus SQL is essential. You will also understand commercial viability when developing and delivering solutions. Experience in data security process and procedures will also be an advantage.

The Role

You will be providing an escalation point for other members of the Support Team and will be working directly with clients for complicated support issues. You will work closely with the Projects Team to design and implement solutions ranging from basic network upgrades to cloud infrastructure migrations.

To be successful in the role, you must possess:
5+ years experience providing support across desktop, networking & systems infrastructure.
2+ years experience providing high level (L3) support.
SQL – Windows and Linux operating systems experience.
Dev Ops Experience also an advantage (Azure GitHub Powershell etc)
Exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Good time management and planning skills.
Significant experience with Microsoft 365.
Significant IT Networking and Systems Admin experience.
Your experience should include a demonstrated ability to:
Develop and evaluate complex system designs to configure and implement computer systems.
Provide specialist skills to administer, support and troubleshoot IT Systems and Network problems.
Assess and recommend improvements to existing IT Systems and Networks.
Research and analyse IT Systems and Networks to ensure they are working optimally and securely.
Keep a cool head under pressure, especially in an emergency.
Prepare and maintain procedures and documentation.
