Description
Mentmore are currently working with a global consumer goods organisation who are seeking a Data Analyst on an initial short term role outside IR35. The Data Analyst will be working with the business to locate, analyse, profile and model data sources in scope for the Customer Transformation programme. The Data Analyst will catalogue the data sources and identify critical data and quality metrics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take ownership and lead the data analysis and profiling activity for multi-country data sources, aligned to user stories and business process requirements
- Facilitate workshops with Architects, Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts to document as-is data landscape, ensure common understanding of the as-is data and map to the target data architecture
- Work closely with the Data Architect and Migration Lead to ensure consistency and completeness of Datamodelling work and data flows
- Work closely with the Data Architect and Migration Lead to map required data identified for migration and assist in the compilation of the data migration strategy
- Identify, analyse and interpret complex data sets, identifying gaps and inconsistencies in the target data architecture
- Develop as-is CRUD and MSOP matrixes for relevant CXT Data
- Collect and interpret data, analyse results and provide ongoing reports
- Define new data collection and analysis processes
EXPERIENCE
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst
- Exposure in a retail industry on a customer programme
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid ability to document complex rules, logic and transformations
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Strong knowledge and understanding of relational data models, data warehouses, big data models and non-relational database systems
- Experience as an analyst working with Excel, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL
- Exposure to ErWin or similar Datamodelling tool
- Delivery experience within an agile environment using Scrum/Kanban methodologies and JIRA
- Ability to develop good working relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues, able to articulate clearly and effectively
- Experience of Cloud data and analytics technology, either matching or similar to AWS, Informatica, Snowflake and Tableau stack
