My client has an excellent opportunity to join their development team as an Analyst Programmer. This is an established financial technology company providing software solutions and consultancy services to finance and leasing industries worldwide. They are looking for an experienced developer to join their team to help build powerful, high quality systems that can be used by their clients. The successful candidate swill be highly motivated and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team of programmers liaising closely with Business Analysts and Testers.

Main Activities:

  • Working on new projects, core components or supporting existing clients, focusing on excellent programming and encompassing the full software development life cycle.
  • Produce detailed technical specifications/documented analysis.
  • Development work varying from building new modules, enhancing existing systems and bug fixing.
  • Complete programmer QA and secondary QA for team members.
  • Prepare and deploy system builds for internal testing and to client environments.
  • Produce estimates for costing and planning purposes.
  • Assistance with client queries, either remotely, face to face on client site, or at the office.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a development role utilising technologies .NET (Windows, Web or Services) and SQL Server. Any experience with VB6 and Oracle PL/SQL is desirable.
  • Strong experience working across the full SDLC.
  • Capable of producing high quality work and can grasp complex algorithms and calculations.
  • Good at problem solving independently or as part of a team.
  • Financial industry experience is desirable.
