Client site is based near Salisbury, Wiltshire. Commutable from Devizes, Andover, Bath, Amesbury, Swindon, Trowbridge, Chippenham, Marlborough, Wiltshire.
Paying 550 - Outside of scope of IR35
Our client requires a Data Architect/Specialist who can make recommendations as to our clients future direction and also create a plan to take them from the as-is to the to-be state. By bringing in a Data Architect, our client wish to further enhance/develop the skill set of our permanent in-house IT staff via mentoring provided by the successful applicant.
The Role:
The successful applicant will be someone who can quickly hit the ground running in understanding the data landscape and make recommendations for how to make best use of this data.
Require someone with an overarching Data Management approach, with specific attention paid to Governance, Security and Quality, will underpin the delivery of a brand new Data Strategy. Delivery of these outputs is an integral part of the successful applicant's engagement with our client.
About you:
You will have hands-on experience across any/all of the following data aspects:
Management, Architecture, Migration, Modelling, Strategy and Governance.
You will be an experienced Data Professional with a wealth of demonstrable knowledge in analytics and reporting.
You will be able to make rapid assessments of an organisations capabilities and help design and implement sustainable roadmap in a range of different organisations
You will have experience/knowledge with Federated environments where data needs to be exchanged securely across network boundaries. Previous experience working in an SC Cleared environment would be highly advantageous.
Familiarity with Data Warehousing principles and best practices (eg: Kimball) is essential.
The successful applicant will be an expert in the Microsoft SQL Server BI stack but also have familiarity with other open source search and analytics engines (eg: Elastic Search).
You will need to have a general awareness of new and emerging technologies/platforms in the BI/Data Analytics space.
You will know how important appropriate selection of technology is, in order to maximise value for money for your clients and you will have delivered significant value for previous clients
Experience/understanding of how cloud technologies can be leveraged as part of the data landscape
